Wargrave 10K Combines Fast Racing With Community Spirit
Popular Berkshire 10K returns...
This relates to: Wargrave 10K
The Wargrave 10K returns on Sunday 5 July 2026, bringing runners back to one of Berkshire's longest established and most community focused races.
Organised by Wargrave and Twyford Runners alongside Barnes Fitness, the event combines a competitive UK Athletics licensed race with a welcoming atmosphere that has made it a fixture on the local running calendar for more than 40 years.
Starting and finishing at Wargrave Recreation Ground, the 10K route takes runners through the village and surrounding countryside on a mix of undulating country lanes and residential roads. The course begins and ends on grass before heading out onto the scenic Berkshire roads that have helped make the race a favourite with both first time runners and experienced club athletes.
The event prides itself on being suitable for all abilities. Whether targeting a first 10K finish or chasing a new PB, runners can expect a well marshalled course, chip timing, water stations and strong local support throughout race day.
Alongside the main race, the popular 1 mile Fun Run gives younger runners aged 4 to 14 the opportunity to get involved. Held entirely within the Recreation Ground, the off road course provides a safe and inclusive experience, with every finisher receiving a medal and goodie bag.
The Wargrave 10K is also about giving back to the community. Since 1983, the event has raised nearly £80,000 for local and national charities, with proceeds continuing to support good causes through every entry.
With a friendly runners village, family atmosphere and a picturesque Berkshire setting, the Wargrave 10K continues to offer far more than just a race, making it a popular summer day out for runners and spectators alike.
