Terrific Racing In Trowse

Celebrate Mother's Day 2026 with a scenic 10K in Norfolk...

Runners in Norfolk are looking ahead to spring as the popular Trowse 10K returns on 15 March - Mother's Day! The event remains one of the region’s most scenic and well-supported road races, attracting runners of all abilities and organisers expect another high turnout as runners return for a memorable challenge.

The race is based at the Norfolk Snowsports Club on the southern outskirts of Norwich, and follows a two-lap route beside Whitlingham Broad and through the heart of the village, passing close to Whitlingham Hall. The race offers participants the chance to enjoy a fast, attractive course and strong support. Organisers say: "Whether you are taking on your first 10K or targeting a new personal best, you can expect an encouraging and inclusive environment."

In the lead up to race day, beginner runners who have signed up for the Trowse 10K are being offered the opportunity to join City of Norwich Athletic Club training sessions. These sessions are limited to 20 runners aiming for a sub-80-minute finish and will provide structured support, coaching and camaraderie as participants prepare for the challenge.

For 2025, runners can choose between receiving a finisher’s medal or donating its value to Home Start, a local charity supporting families with children under five. Prizes will be awarded to the first three male and female finishers as well as age category winners.
