All New Ultra Trail For Falkirk
Head to Falkirk in February and make an ultra trail your 2026 goal...
A brand new era of trail running is coming to Falkirk next year as the Trailspire Ultra 2026 makes its debut at Callander Park on 7 February. The event, organised by Everyrunner Events, promises a refreshed identity and format while keeping the same spirit that made its predecessor, the Falkirk Ultra Trail Race, a local favourite.
The reimagined event features a new route and design created by 2025 Scottish Ultra Trail winner Stuart Paterson. Organisers say: "With updated branding, new sponsors, fresh merchandise and a scenic six-hour endurance format, Trailspire Ultra is set to become one of Scotland’s most exciting early-season challenges."
The race invites runners of all abilities to tackle as many laps as possible around a 4.14-mile course, which includes 277 feet of elevation per lap. Winding through rolling woodland trails and past the historic Callander House, the event combines natural beauty with Falkirk’s rich heritage.
Organisers continue: "Participants can choose their own challenge, whether that’s aiming for a half marathon, full marathon, ultra distance or simply running for the joy of six hours on the trails. We can promise a well-marked route, plenty of support and 'the best marshals in the country'!"
