Telford Trail Challenge Returns
Team trail challenge takes to the streets of Telford...
Entries have opened for the Telford T50 50 Mile Trail Relay Challenge, with teams invited to take on the endurance test across Telford between 1 April and 30 June.
The popular relay follows the Telford T50 Trail, a 50 mile walking and running route linking the town’s major green spaces including parks, woodlands, pools and nature reserves. Teams begin near the visitor centre in Telford Town Park and complete the course in relay format, with organisers coordinating leg timings through a shared scheduling system.
Organisers explained: "The inter team challenge has developed into an annual fixture designed to bring together running clubs, workplace teams, charity groups and community runners while promoting one of the Midlands’ most distinctive long distance routes."
Course records remain a target for competing teams. Telford Athletics Club set the open record of 6:49:50 in April 2023, while previous editions have seen strong performances from Shropshire Canicross and Broseley Joggers, who retained their respective titles in 2025 after also winning in 2023 and 2024.
Organisers say: "Our event offers a flexible but competitive challenge that showcases the extensive green network across Telford while encouraging teamwork and endurance over a demanding distance."
