Still Time To Send Yourself To Coventry!
Just under two weeks until this Midlands' classic returns...
The wait is finally over! In just under two weeks the Coventry Half Marathon will make a triumphant return to the Midlands events calendar thanks to event organiser Run For All joining forces with Coventry City Council to revive the classic event.
Taking place on Sunday 29 October, this much-loved race will recreate much of the previously popular route. Runners will enjoy a course that starts in the heart of the city centre on Gosford Street and finishes outside the steps of Coventry’s stunning gothic cathedral. The route will also include the surrounding countryside and will head out towards Shakespeare’s county of Warwickshire.
It is hoped thousands will return to the streets and enjoy the scenic city centre and countryside route, including Allesley Park Fairy Village, Coventry Peace Orchard and the White Arch. This is a great event for runners and spectators alike, with the scenic route promising to attract huge crowds of supporters and allows for a spot of sightseeing with the gothic city centre meeting picturesque countryside.
Runners embarking upon the Coventry Cathedral finish line will be greeted with a goody bag of rewards, including post-run treats and a hard-earned bespoke medal for them to remember the day.
A spokesperson from Run For All said: "Whether you’re looking to chase a personal best or take on your very first half marathon challenge we encourage entrants of all abilities to sign up!"
