There are still some spots available at this weekend's Windmill 10K which will take place on 10 November acting as a special Remembrance Day run in Lancashire's Lytham St Annes.
Organisers, Fylde Coast Runners, say: "Join us as we lace up to remember and honour with every step. Our annual Windmill Remembrance Day 10K is a poignant run that weaves through the heart of Lytham St Annes, featuring the iconic windmill and stunning coastal views.
"Don’t miss out on the chance to run with purpose under the turning blades of our iconic windmill."
This 10K is more than just a race; it’s a moving tribute to our heroes with organisers stressing that whether you are a seasoned runner or casual jogger, this event is for you. The flat course caters to all levels of fitness, promising personal bests and an atmosphere of solidarity and respect.
All runners receive a very special commemorative medal at the finish line, along with drinks and snacks to help you recover from your run. A friendly supportive community of runners and spectators as well as free event photos for download await you.
Final word to the organisers, who sum it up perfectly: "This isn’t just another 10K. It’s a run to honour, to remember, and to come together. Every step, every breath, and every mile represents a tribute to those we’ve lost and a celebration of their memory.
"Come and be a part of this memorable day. Run with purpose, finish with pride and hold the memory of our fallen in every stride."
