Run 28 Miles in 28 Days of February Medal

Run 28 miles in 28 days to escape the February blues

A portion of the proceeds to go to Scleroderma & Raynauds UK charity

Step Forward With Lewis has launched a new virtual challenge for February with the twin aims of keeping people motivated whilst helping a worthy cause. They are invitingn you to run 28 miles in 28 days of February 2021 as a way of taking their mind off the current restrictions.

As lockdown 3.0 continues and the winter weather drags on we need something to aim for, something to get the blood pumping and the mood lifted as February approaches. There is Valentine’s Day to look forward to albeit in a different form than we're used to due to Covid-19. And now, the ’Run 28 Miles in 28 Days of February’, the latest virtual race from Michelle Lewis.

It is organised along the same lines as previous Step Forward With Lewis challenges - accessible, fun to do and helping a charity at the same time – all of which generates a feel-good factor. The participants’ run/walk/cycle or wheel their way through the distance and decide how they will do this whether a mile each day, broken down into chunks or 28 miles in a single session. Whatever they choose, they must adhere to government guidelines regarding outdoor exercise and continue to socially distance as stipulated.

£5 of every entry fee goes to Scleroderma & Raynaud’s UK, a charity committed to raising awareness and understanding of these diseases and providing support to those affected by them. February is Raynaud’s Awareness Month.

More information about the virtual event and entry options can be found at the Step Forward With Lewis website. Every finisher receives a colourful, bespoke medal for their month-long efforts.
