Stanhope Trail Race

Still Time To Run Stanhope

If you're up for a proper trail race this summer, look no further...

If you haven't already bagged a place for the Stanhope Trail Races on 13 July then make sure you move fast and get yourself sorted for an epic adventure in the North Pennines. You will be rewarded with a route that traverses tracks, trails, trods and fells and amazing views (on a good day) are guaranteed!

The event will offer both 10K and Half Marathon distances both of which will start and finish in Stanhope, a pretty market town in the Durham Dales. This is trail running that will take you away from the comfort of urban gravel tracks and into the heart of the glorious landscapes, nature and heritage in the North East of England.

Organisers say: "This event offers something a little different and perfect for those wanting to progress from knocking out easy, fast and flat 10Ks (don’t expect any personal bests here).

"One of a series of explorations of Weardale and the North Pennines, this will be a showcase of what we want to achieve at Greener Miles events in partnership with the North Pennines AONB: interesting, challenging races bringing wonderful memories and held as environmentally responsibly as possible."

Both races are dog friendly and everyone is rewarded with soup and a roll at the finish line in a cool event mug.
