Award Winning 10K Still Open For Entries
This September 10K is still taking entries, but you'll need to be quick...
Did you know that Cumbernauld 10K was named Scotland's 10K of the Year at the 2018 national Running Awards after finishing ahead of 20 other top Scottish events? It also figured prominently in the overall UK category. Impressive, huh?
If you'd like to take part in this award-winning event then there is still time to sign up for its 2022 outing, which is scheduled to take place on 11 September.
Making its return to the Scottish race calendar after a three year hiatus, those in charge can't wait to see runners toe the line at the town's Broadwood Stadium. And it's not just the runners that are guaranteed a fun time, as throughout the day there will be a range of free and fun activities for all the community to enjoy.
In addition to the ‘flat, fast and beginner friendly’ 10K, organisers will again be offering a 3K timed run for S1-S4 pupils, a 1K run for P5–P7 pupils, a 400m run for P1–P4 pupils and a toddler dash for children aged three to five. It really does offer what it says on the tin: 'a family-focussed community running festival with fun at its heart'.
This year the event will run in partnership with North Lanarkshire Suicide Prevention and participants can make donations to the charity when they enter any of these races. Those who are an NLC jogscotland members are entitled to a 50% discount code.
