The hugely popular adidas Manchester Marathon returns in 2024, with the next edition being held on Sunday 14 April. Since its announcement, demand to enter the event has soared, with many being drawn to the flat course, lively atmosphere, and awesome finisher’s medal.

Participants can expect to feel uplifted by amazing spectators and live music along the route, with energetic supporter ‘hot spots’ in Manchester City Centre, Sale, Altrincham, Chorlton Cum Hardy, Timperley Village and more. 

In all, over 100,000 people come to cheer their hearts out on the streets – a number which continues to grow alongside the field of participants. In fact, Manchester has become one of the most in-demand places to run a marathon and this friendly community welcomes participants of all abilities and backgrounds. 

For many, the celebrations often continue well after the event itself, from Event Village entertainment to the buzzing culture and nightlife of the city centre. The event organisation has also been praised as exceptional, which sees many returning participants each year.
