The Scottish Half Marathon is one of Scotland's best known road races, taking runners from just outside Edinburgh along the spectacular East Lothian Golf Coast before finishing at the historic Musselburgh Racecourse. Renowned for its flat profile, the event attracts runners of all abilities, from first time half marathon participants to those chasing a personal best.
The course follows a predominantly flat route on closed roads with coastal scenery for much of the race before the memorable finish on the racecourse. The fast profile and supportive atmosphere have earned the event a reputation as one of the UK's leading Half Marathons for achieving personal best performances.
The event features chip timing, hydration stations, on course nutrition, baggage facilities and a comprehensive finisher's package including a medal and technical T shirt.
