Grab a 5K place before they’re all 'Scone'
Scone Palace near Perth is again welcoming runners to their beautiful private grounds for a gentle 5k winter run.
Coming none too soon after the dreaded ‘Blue Monday’, the ‘January Jog’ will take place at 11am this Sunday (26 January). The event will be held entirely within the grounds of the estate, one of the country’s favourite visitor attractions and the chosen rout eis both family and dog friendly.
But even more important, both four-legged and two-legged runners are welcome for refreshments – including hot chocolate and, well, scones – in the pet-friendly Old Kitchen Coffee Shop.
The ‘January Jog’ is suitable for beginners as well as experienced runners. Spectators and supporters are welcome too. All two-legged runners will receive a finisher’s goody bag, including a medal.
Entries are now open and cost £10 per person. Places are limited to 250, with just a few dozen left. Participants are asked to note that as this is a ‘fun run’, it not be chip timed; there will, however, be a timing clock on the finish line.
Further information and entry details can be found on the on the organiser's website.
