Saltire 24

24 Hour Ultra People

Calling all running club enthusiasts looking to run somewhere as a group this summer...

Is your club looking for team-building events in the summer - something you and fellow club runners can really get your teeth into? Well how about spicing up your running routine and bringing that club spirit to 2024's Saltire 24?

The Saltire 24 Hour Ultra Trail Race is set for 22-23 June and will see runners celebrate midsummer in Royal Deeside. The aim of the game is to complete as many laps as possible of the scenic multi-terrain trail beside Kerloch Hill and Fetteresso Forest. Runners can choose between 6hr solo or 12hr and 24hr with options to Run Solo, in a relay team as a pair or team of 3-8.

If you would rather go solo, the Saltire 6 is a great opportunity for runners to challenge themselves individually, enjoy the beautiful trails and dip their toes in the world of ultra running. This 6-hour trail race is designed to challenge endurance, ignite a spirit of adventure, and showcase the breathtaking beauty of the Saltire24 Trails.

Run solo or organise a team at The Saltire 12 with only one team member running at any one time. The format is simple - complete as many laps as possible of the 4.2 mile off-road course within 12 hours. Run through the day and finish at 10pm just in time to enjoy the sunset!

Or you can go the whole hog and sign up for the Saltire 24 - 24 hours of ultra trail running to celebrate the summer solstice. Get your team together and test yourself over 24 hours of trail running.

With diverse terrain, stunning vistas, and an exhilarating atmosphere, this event promises an unforgettable experience for participants of all levels. Organisers say: "Let’s make it a running party for everyone, regardless of experience – because every stride counts, and every runner rocks!"

For those taking part, and their support teams, there is free camping and use of facilities.
