Saltire 24 is a unique ultra running event held in the heart of Royal Deeside, challenging runners to complete as many laps as possible of a scenic multi terrain trail course beside Knockburn Loch, Kerloch Hill and Fetteresso Forest. The event celebrates the summer solstice with options for solo runners and relay teams. 

Participants can choose from 6 hour, 12 hour and 24 hour race formats. The 6 hour event is a solo challenge, while the 12 hour and 24 hour races can be completed either solo or in relay teams, creating an event that appeals to experienced ultra runners and those taking on their first timed endurance challenge alike.

The fully waymarked loop combines forest trails, gravel paths and natural terrain in a picturesque Aberdeenshire setting. With on site camping, indoor facilities, electronic chip timing and a supportive event atmosphere, Saltire 24 has become one of Scotland's best known summer ultra running events.
