The November Nightmare medalsImage: How Hard Can It Be Events & CODRC

Are you eyeing up the November Nightmare?

8 races in 8 days or add a double for 10 races in 9 days.

For any runner wanting a challenge that will push them to their limits look no further than the November Nightmare. This event is held over 8 days, from Sunday 1 November to Sunday 8 November and there are three distances to choose from – 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon, all of which are Covid-safe and friendly. The decision is whether to complete one race or all 8 or go even further and complete two more the day before (Saturday 31 October) to make it 10 races in 9 days.

It is organised by How Hard Can It Be Events & CODRC, a popular and respected race company based in Shropshire. They are known for their friendly events that attract a good mix of runners of all abilities who support and encourage each other and enjoy the locations, courses and most of all, the ‘bling’. Race organiser Denzil Martin doesn’t disappoint when it comes to a memento and there are 8 themed medals up for grabs, providing that extra incentive to enter.

The Nightmare begins on Monday at Coalport, Tuesday at Lightmoor, Wednesday and Thursday at Coalport, Friday at Lightmoor and Saturday and Sunday at Silkin Way and Ironbridge. Expect country lanes, a disused railway line, a cycling and walking route and heritage along with views of the famous Iron Bridge. There is a well stocked aid station to keep energy levels up.

The Nightmare can be continued beyond the 8 days by entering The Pumpkin Marathon and The Spooky Halloween Challenge on, rather appropriately, Saturday 31 October. This comes in at 10 races in 9 days for the hardcore runner.
