Entries are now open for Run South London, a brand new closed road half marathon set to debut on Sunday 14 March 2027.
Delivered by The Great Run Company in partnership with Merton Council, the event will bring a fresh addition to the capital’s running calendar, offering runners the chance to take on a scenic 13.1 mile route through one of London’s greenest areas.
The course will take in a mix of well known parks, historic streets and iconic sporting locations, including the surroundings of Wimbledon Village, creating a route that blends atmosphere, heritage and variety.
Starting and finishing in Morden Park, the event will feature a lively race village and strong transport links, making it easy for runners and spectators to be part of the day. With fully closed roads throughout, the race is designed to offer a fast and uninterrupted running experience in a part of the capital that has not previously hosted a half marathon of this scale.
To mark the launch, a free shakeout run will take place in Wimbledon Park tonight (Wednesday 8 April), giving runners an early opportunity to get involved and build excitement ahead of race day.
With a limited number of launch entries available and strong demand expected, now is the time to secure your place on the start line and be part of London’s newest running event.
We anticipate that this one's gonna be a sell out here at runABC South so be sure to get your entry in now.
