Evening Trail Challenge Returns To Nottinghamshire
Popular trail race returns...
The Pint & Pork Scratchings 5 returns to Epperstone on Tuesday 9 June 2026 with runners once again taking on an evening trail challenge through the Nottinghamshire countryside. The popular five mile event raises money for The Brain Tumour Charity and starts and finishes at The Cross Keys pub in the village.
The route covers undulating trails and rural paths around Epperstone, with organisers warning runners not to underestimate the course despite the relatively short distance. A sharp early climb inside the opening mile provides an immediate test before the route settles into a fast flowing off road run across the surrounding countryside.
The race has built a strong local following thanks to its relaxed atmosphere, evening setting and sociable finish back at the pub. Randomly allocated prizes rather than traditional age group awards continue to give runners throughout the field a chance to leave with prizes, while the event also forms part of the HP Road League series.
Entries are now open with numbers increased to 375 runners for 2026. Organisers hope the fifth edition can continue the fundraising success of previous years while attracting another strong turnout from clubs and local runners across the region.
Entries are available here via SiEntries.
