PieAthlon

Will Run For Pies

One running event that elevates and celebrates the humble pie is Yorkshire's Pieathlon...

The PieAthlon is a unique and mouthwatering race that combines the thrill of a 6K trail run with the deliciousness of the ubiquitous pie. This unique event has been designed to bring together fitness enthusiasts and food lovers in a fun and challenging event experience and will take place on 14 December in its usual Huddersfield location.

The race boasts a scenic trail, providing participants with a beautiful backdrop as they tackle the distance. Those taking part will navigate through diverse terrain, including hills, forests, and open fields, adding an element of adventure to the race. The trail offers a mix of challenges and opportunities to showcase both speed, endurance and mud.

What sets the PieAthlon apart from other races though are those pie-stocked feed stations along the course. At designated points throughout the race, participants will have the opportunity to refuel with a mouthwatering selection of pies - from savoury options to sweet treats, there is something to satisfy every craving. These pie feed stations not only provide a delicious incentive to keep going but also create a unique and enjoyable atmosphere for participants.

Organisers say: "These are probably the best aid stations in the UK! Pork pies, mince pies, apple pies, fruit pies - all kinds of pies await you. All you need to do is conquer a short 6K route and the pies will be ready and waiting for you!"

Whether you're a seasoned runner, a pie lover, or simply looking for a unique and memorable race experience, the PieAthlon offers something special. So lace up your running shoes, bring your appetite, and enjoy the& race that will leave you with a satisfied stomach and a smile on your face. Don't forget to add a finish line Pie & Peas to your entry!
