Run With Dad At Penny Lane 10K
Run beneath the blue suburban skies at this year's Penny Lane 10K...
After testing the water with a Sunday slot in 2023, Penny Lane Striders 10K will repeat its success this year on 16 June - which also happens to be Father's Day! If you want to get dad a unique and healthy gift then how about a spot at the popular event? But be quick if you want to benefit from early bird prices as they come to and end on 29 February.
This 10K race is a part of the Merseyside Road Running Grand Prix and local club, Penny Lane Striders, has organised the event for over 10 years with its popularity growing year-on-year. The course was changed in recent years and the change has resulted in a faster, flatter 10K with real PB potential!
The course takes runners along the famous River Mersey Promenade, through Otterspool Park before returning to race HQ at Riversdale Police Club. The race is well-organised and marshalled by club members who enthusiastically cheer on local club and unattached runners alike and are well known for their motivation along the course.
The enthusiastic support is a real bonus for all entrants as previous entrants attest to: "Thoroughly enjoyed the PLS 10k. Fantastic encouragement and support from all of the PLS marshals made it very special."
