Bee In It To Win It!

This pretty North Lincs 10K returns to the race calendar this July with a faster course than ever...

You've got to bee in it to win it! That's the mantra for all taking part in the ever-popular Normanby Hall 10K which is back in 2024 with a 14 July race date.

Taking place at one of North Lincolnshire's prettiest venues - runners are treated to a route that includes some of the 300-acre Normanby Hall Country Park as well as a mixture of open and closed roads as they tour the local villages and picturesque North Lincolnshire countryside.

Organisers say: "The 10K road route heads out through our fantastic local villages, while providing plenty of opportunities for your spectators to cheer you right from the main hall. We've adjusted around 500m of the run for 2024 and removed a bit of an incline out of Burton High Street which will make this the fastest route yet!"

This race is all about the bees though, from the black and yellow costumes worn by many of the runners, a trophy for the ‘best dressed bee’, medal and a packet of bee-friendly sunflower seeds for every finisher. Most importantly, it is supporting the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, one of several wildlife charities Curly’s Athletes are passionate about.

A spokesperson said: “We are supporting our pollinating friends by giving every runner Bee friendly wildflower seeds and of course there will be a lovely bee themed medal and fresh cup cakes await every runner at the finish line!"

The day includes a timed 3K event taking place in the grounds of the hall and is suitable for all. Those taking part will also be rewarded with the fun medal.
