NoMad Ultra Returns

Anyone can have a go at this inclusive Derbyshire-based ultra event...

If you're an ultra runner then you'd be mad to miss out on this year's NoMad Ultra which will take place in Derbyshire on 22 June. The event offers options of a 50 mile, 50K or Team Relay Challenge.

The NoMad50 mile Ultra consists of a multi terrain circular route which mainly follows the Derby Nomad trail around Derbyshire. Starting and finishing in Breaston, runners will be rewarded with scenic rolling countryside and will run by canals, over trails, through fields and some road.

At 32 miles the NoMad50k Ultra is just a few short miles more than a marathon making it perfect for those new to the ultra scene. This race offers a scenic multi terrain circular route that follows the established NoMad50 mile route for the first and last sections with a scenic middle route heading through the historic city of Derby along the old Derby Canal and River Derwent.

If you'd love to be a part of an ultra event, but would prefer to split the distance then you can sign up to the Team Relay Challenge. In this race a six person team takes on the same scenic course as the NoMad50 mile Ultra. The longest leg is 11 miles and the shortest is just 5.25 miles. A day of teamwork and fun to battle it out to see who is the winning team.

All finishers receive a medal and technical t-shirt. One of last year's participants, Ross Watson, had this to say: "Thank you to all of the people that put on this event. My first Ultra, I won't forget it and will be back next year!"
