NoMad Ultra

The NoMad Ultra is a self navigated endurance event that follows sections of the Derby Nomad Trail through the countryside surrounding Derby. Offering 50K, 50 mile and team relay options, the event combines long distance trail running with route finding skills and a spirit of self sufficiency.

Starting and finishing in Breaston, the 50 mile route follows a circular multi terrain course featuring trails, canal paths, fields, countryside tracks and quiet road sections. The 50K option shares the opening and closing sections before taking a shorter route through Derby, following parts of the River Derwent and historic canal network. Relay teams of six runners can also tackle the course together, with each participant completing a designated leg.

Run under Trail Running Association and UK Athletics rules, the NoMad Ultra is designed for experienced endurance runners, with entrants required to demonstrate previous marathon distance experience. Combining navigation, varied terrain and supportive checkpoint facilities, it offers a rewarding ultra running challenge in the heart of Derbyshire.
