Scurry On Down To Devilla Forest
There's a new trail running festival coming to Fife this summer...
After the misery of the past two years, with all the cancellations and postponments the Scottish race calendar was plagued by, it is always a pleasure to hear of a new event making its mark in 2022. And that's exactly what the Scurry Trail Running Festival plans to do on 7 August at Fife's scenic Devilla Forest.
Situated north and east of Kincardine in the south east of Fife, Devilla Forest boasts over 1900 acres of mainly Scots Pines, four secret lochs, red squirels and a mixed terrain that is perfect for this trail festival.
With a mixed terrain half marathon, 10K and 5K trail running option as well as a family 1.5K fun run, there's a race to suit all ages and abilities. The half marathon, 10K and 5K will all follow one lap courses through and around Devilla Forest starting and finishing in the scenic grounds of Tulliallan police college.
Organisers commented: "This is your chance to discover an awesome network of exciting forest trails. It's a year with lots of choice back in the run calendar - so why not celebrate with a new Scurry event and enjoy running more freely in groups once again."
Participants will receive a finishers medal and a race momento along with goodies from Active Root, Tribe bars, Moggans, Big Bobble Hats and there will be live race commentary in the event hub throughout.
Scurry Events are hosting this event and will be looking to provide a donation to the Police Benevolent Fund. All proceeds of the fun run will go as a charitable donation towards the event charities and additional support will aim to be passed on through volunteer marshals on the day.
