Don't Mull This One Over!

Have an island adventure this July...

The summer holidays are just round the corner, well they are if you have kids... half of Scotland will be 'attempting' to leave the country before the end of June! If you like to keep your holidays local and would rather not run the risk of flight cancellations this year, then a fantastic option could be Mull in July for the Island's Half Marathon & 10K.

Taking place on 23 July, the Isle of Mull Half Marathon & 10K is a friendly event that has been running for 31 years and has now become a tradition on the island for both young and old. The race caters for both the competitive athlete and the runner out for a bit of a challenge to get to the other end in basically ‘one piece’.

This is very much a destination event, Mull is the second-largest island of the Inner Hebrides and can offer something for all the family with visitor attractions that cater for all ages. Take the chance to enter one of the island's events and then enjoy a holiday where the whole family can relax and enjoy a peaceful holiday in a stunning setting.

Someone doing just that is Alexander Bruns who commented on Facebook: "My wife and I are visiting the Isle of Mull during this time from the US. We just signed up, so excited to run with everyone."

While race organisers say: "Visit the Balamory and wildlife town of Tobermory. Take in a wildlife trip, cycle the trails or just chill out on the island. Book at our local campsite."

This year, both distances will revert back to total road races and will run along the very scenic double track road from Craignure to Salen.
