Jane Tomlinson Run For All

Middlesbrough 10K set for new family

This Sunday (1 September) will herald the first Middlesbrough 10K under the guardianship of the Run For All team in partnership with Middlesbrough Council and Everyone Active. Formerly known as the Tees Pride 10K, the race has established a committed following throughout the years, and Sunday will be the first as its new life in the Asda Foundation 10k series.

Perhaps in light of its popularity over the past 15 years, the Run For All team decided to retain much of the 10k's core and the fast and flat route will be the same as before.

Sunday's field will depart from Hall Drive and move through Acklam Road and Ladgate Lane. From here, the route turns left down Marton Road, Keith Road, Emerson Avenue before arriving at the start point at Hall Drive.

The announcement of the Tees Pride 10K takeover came at the same time it was confirmed Run For All would organise the Ali Brownlee Riverside Run 5K.

This is the furthest north Run For All have operated since they launched the Leeds 10K some 12 years ago and is seen by the wider running community as another significant step in their development.

There are a small number of spaces available for Sunday’s Asda Foundation Middlesbrough 10K – further information is available here.
