The Lyme Half Marathon is a trail running event based at Lyme Park near Disley on the edge of the Peak District. Starting and finishing within the National Trust estate, the route takes runners across a variety of terrain including woodland trails, moorland paths and countryside tracks.
The course heads out along sections of the Gritstone Trail before exploring the surrounding hills and countryside. Known for its challenging nature, the route includes significant climbing and rewards runners with extensive views across the Cheshire landscape and Peak District fringe.
Lyme Park provides a distinctive setting for trail running, combining historic parkland, ancient woodland and open moorland terrain. Features such as the Gritstone Trail, Kerridge Ridge and the area around White Nancy contribute to a demanding but scenic Half Marathon that has become a popular fixture in the Cheshire trail running calendar.
