Lyme Half Marathon

Time To Book A Spot At Lyme?

Plan a summertime race experience in the beautiful Peak District...

Runners are in for a treat this summer as the Lyme Half Marathon returns on Sunday 6 July, bringing with it breathtaking views, a challenging course and a famously warm welcome. Set within the stunning grounds of Lyme, a National Trust gem in Disley, Stockport, this award-winning trail event is a highlight of the summer racing calendar.

The race begins against the dramatic backdrop of Lyme Hall, offering a unique mix of historic beauty and natural grandeur before leading runners into the rugged heart of the Peak District.

The route follows the Gritstone Trail south, giving participants a panoramic experience across some of Cheshire’s most dramatic landscapes. From there, runners tackle the climb along Kerridge Ridge and pass the iconic White Nancy monument before descending into the village of Bollington. A flatter section along the Macclesfield Canal provides some respite before the final push back to the finish at Lyme.

Organised by Big Feat Events, the Lyme Half Marathon is a fully marked and marshalled course, supported by two well-stocked aid stations and friendly volunteers. Runners can look forward to electronic timing, professional event photography and a bespoke finisher’s medal to celebrate their achievement.

Organisers say: "With its mix of challenging terrain, top-notch organisation and spectacular views, this is a trail half marathon that rewards every step. Whether you’re chasing a time or soaking up the scenery, the Lyme Half promises a memorable race day in the Peak District."
