New Trail Half For Cheshire
There's a new kid in town for lovers of a scenic trail event...
If you love reading about new events as much as we love telling you about them, then you're in for a treat with this news item! A brand new trail half marathon is coming to Cheshire this summer and we can't wait to tell you about it!
Taking place on 10 July, the Lyme Park Half Marathon is a stunning and challenging 14ish mile distance trail event starting and finishing in the beautiful National Trust grounds of Lyme Park, Cheshire.
From the spectacular backdrop of the medieval Lyme Hall, the run starts out following the Gritstone Trail south over remarkable terrain, where the views stretch on for miles around. The route then traverses runners up and along Kerridge Ridge, past the famous White Nancy landmark and then on to Bollington. Here entrants will join the Macclesfield Canal for a flatter section back towards Lyme Park and the finish line.
This beautiful course will be fully marked and marshalled with two well stocked aid stations and a bespoke medal awaits you at the finish.
A spokesperson from race organiser, Big Feat Events commented: "At Big Feat Events, we put a lot of research into our routes and locations, believing that the mix of challenge and stunning scenery is a winning combination. All our races are held in the beautiful countryside which surrounds our towns and cities.
"Our latest event, the Lyme Park Trail Half is coming in just under 14 miles and is a very beautiful and challenging course with 2000ft elevation!"
