Liverpool gets its turn to Move for Movember on Saturday 21 November when Liverpool MoRun returns to Croxteth Park.

There are four distances on the programme, beginning with the Half Marathon at 9:30am. The 5K and 10K follow at 10:00am before younger runners take over for the chip timed 1.5K Mini MoRun at 11:45am.

Croxteth Park provides a flat course mixing paths and trails. The 5K completes one lap, the 10K two, while Half Marathon runners tackle four laps after an additional 1.1K section at the start. Organisers warn that parts can become bumpy or muddy, adding a little November unpredictability.

MoRunning is about considerably more than finishing times. Fancy dress is actively encouraged, runners can grow or paint on a moustache and special medals are awarded for categories including the best dressed and fastest Mo.

The series began with a single MoRun in Greenwich Park in 2009 and has since staged events around the UK and overseas. Liverpool has become an established stop.

Most importantly, the events support Movember and its work around men's health. MoRunning says it has helped raise well over £500,000 for the charity since the series began, alongside increasing awareness of prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.

Every Liverpool finisher receives a MoRun medal and headband, with chip timing across all four distances.

Fast times are welcome at Croxteth Park. A ridiculous moustache might earn you something too.

Entries are available now via the runABC race hub.
