New 15K Joins Leamington Spa Race Day
New 15K day distance added to popular Warwickshire event...
A brand new road race is coming to the Midlands this summer with the launch of the inaugural Leamington Spa 15K, set to take place on Sunday 7 June 2026 in the heart of Royal Leamington Spa. Organised by Raceways Events CIC, the team behind the hugely popular Leamington Spa Half Marathon, the new 15K promises a scenic event through one of Warwickshire’s most picturesque towns.
Organisers explain: "The 15K has been designed to bridge the gap between 10K and half marathon distances, making it an ideal option for runners looking to step up their mileage, train for longer events or target a new personal best."
The race will start and finish at the Royal Pump Room Gardens, placing runners right at the centre of the action. The course showcases the best of Leamington Spa and its surroundings, taking in wide roads, stretches of countryside and enthusiastic local support. With its mix of urban and rural scenery, the route is expected to appeal to both competitive runners and those taking on the distance for the first time.
All finishers will receive a specially designed medal to mark the first ever staging of the Leamington Spa 15K. Early entry is being encouraged, with organisers expecting strong demand based on the popularity of Raceways’ previous events, particularly the Leamington Spa Half Marathon.
The 15K will take place on the same day as the Leamington Spa Half Marathon, which returns for its eighth edition in 2026. After seven consecutive sell out years, demand for the half marathon remains high.
