Fit Pro Rob at Portsmouth Coastal Half Marathon

'Double Trouble' At Pompey

Be a weekend warrior and conquer the coast with these off-road half marathons...

"Lace up, layer up, and run the wild side of Pompey this February."

That is the clarion call from Rob Pigott, aka Fit Pro Rob, of Believe and Achieve Events. Rob has been organising running, cycling and kayaking events in the Portsmouth area for 20 years and his latest idea is to combine the Langstone Harbour Half Marathon and Portsmouth Coastal Half Marathon into a 'Double Trouble' challenge for all you weekend warriors!

The dates for your diary are 7 February 2026 - 8 February 2026, with Langstone Harbour up first on the Saturday and Portsmouth Coastal on the Sunday. Let Rob whet your appetite for these brilliant off-road races...

"Join us for a weekend of wild winds, muddy trails, harbour views, and coastal adventures in the heart of Hampshire. Set over two epic days, our 2026 Langstone Harbour and Portsmouth Coastal Half Marathons offer runners the chance to experience the raw beauty of the South Coast – either as a single-day challenge or a full weekend endurance experience with a twist!"

Day One: Langstone Harbour Half Marathon

The adventures start on Hayling Island, with an optional ferry crossing to reach the mainland (or stick to dry land if you're quick-footed!). From there, you’ll weave your way around the muddy but magical trails of Langstone Harbour. Expect sweeping sea views, salt-crusted air and a thrilling finish at Eastney Point on the other side of the harbour.

Day Two: Portsmouth Coastal Half  Marathon

Start and finish outside the iconic D-Day Story Museum in Southsea. This urban coastal course explores the east side of Portsea Island, where windswept promenades and historic seafronts guide you through a fast, flat (but never boring) route. You might battle the elements, but the medals and the camaraderie are worth every gust!

So, what's the twist? The Double Trouble Medal! Complete two half marathons and claim a limited edition bonus medal to show off your weekend warrior status. For a limited time only, use code RUNPOMPEY to get a special discount off your entry fee. Whether you run one or both, this is your chance to conquer the coast. Enter both and receive a further discount, with the bonus medal included!

Previous results are at the runABC race listing here (Langstone) and here (Portsmouth).
