This Race Is A Real Beaut!

Stunning race on Scotland's secret coast makes its return this autumn...

If scenic racing is your thing then get sorted with a place at one of Scotland's prettiest events - the Kyles 10 Miles. This event offers runners an unrivalled scenic road race (or walk) on Argyll's Secret Coast with an early autumn date of 14 September planned for 2024.

The route starts in front of The Royal Hotel in the village of Tighnabruaich and over the course of the 10 mile race runners will be rewarded with a diverse and beautiful landscape, from rolling hills to woodland copses to wild coastline. Those taking part will catch glimpses of secluded beaches and glorious views across to Arran, Bute and Kintyre as they make their way along the route.

Organisers say: "This event offers something for all runners, from experienced veterans to racing novices. Rise to the challenge of a route that combines inclines, descents and long flat straights, all amid spectacular Scottish scenery."

Argyll’s Secret Coast is tucked away in a small corner of Argyll’s Cowal peninsula on the west coast of Scotland. Bordered by Loch Fyne and the Kyles of Bute, it’s an area of stunning natural beauty, with hills, glens, rugged coastlines, white beaches, clear waters and ancient forests. It may feel wild and remote, but it’s only a two-hour drive from Glasgow.

All entrants will recieve a medal and a wicking t-shirt and there will also be monetary prizes and trophies for the run winners. In 2023 there were close to 200 entrants with Ian Thomson taking first place with a time of 1:01:26. Louise Ross won the women's race clocking 1:11:53.
