Just One Run

Make your run on 21st May really count...

Run Leeds is asking runners in the region to join them for Just One Run on Saturday 21 May. What that 'run' may be is entirely up to you, as the premise of the event is that you choose the distance, terrain and location. As long as you do it on 21 May then you are part of the 'gang'!

Once you have done your run, you are asked to donate whatever you can, to support the NHS. The event is part of the Lord Mayor’s Charity Pick – which this year is the NHS (in particular supporting Leeds Teaching Hospitals). Your donation will help to support the education of future NHS heroes, as well as facilities and equipment, to help the NHS help us all.

If you don’t fancy running alone, then Bramley Breezers and Bramley parkrun, Otley AC Run Club and Chevin Forest parkrun, Rothwell Harriers and Rothwell parkrun will be hosting ‘takeovers’ to mark the event. If any of these are your local parkrun then head along and show your support!

A spokesperson for Run Leeds said: "Three stunning parkruns, kindly hosted by the local volunteers from the local run clubs for this occasion. We're so grateful."

There are plenty of other fantastic, free and super-friendly parkruns in and around Leeds and Bradford, just make sure to register (if you haven’t already) before you turn up.

Those at Run Leeds are looking forward to seeing where you ran and how far you got for your Just One Run and are inviting participants to use social media to post pictures or quotes using the hashtag #JustOneRun. A Run Leeds running snood/’buff’ will be sent to the best posts.

You can find out more about this event by visiting the Run Leeds website.
