Isle of Mull Half Marathon

Make A Date With Mull

Hop over to Mull this July for an island break with a race thrown in for good measure...

When the weather's like this, why head abroad for a summer break? If you're absolutely dead set on venturing 'overseas' though - how about a wee visit to the Isle of Mull in July for the island's ever-popular half marathon and 10K races?

Taking place on 22 July, the Isle of Mull Half Marathon & 10K is a friendly event that has been running for over 30 years; in that time it has established itself as a real tradition on the island for both young and old. The race caters for competitive athletes as well as runners out for a bit of a challenge to get to the other end in ‘one piece’.

This year, both distances will run along the very scenic double track road from Craignure to Salen.

Mull is the second-largest island of the Inner Hebrides and can offer something for all the family with visitor attractions that cater for all ages. Take the chance to enter one of the island's events and then enjoy a holiday where the whole family can relax and enjoy a peaceful holiday in a stunning setting.

Race organisers say: "Visit the Balamory and wildlife town of Tobermory. Take in a wildlife trip, cycle the trails or just chill out on the island. Book at our local campsite."

Speaking after last year's event Beverley MacIver enthused: "A huge thank you to all the organisers and volunteers for yesterday. Well organised and the water stations were fabulously supportive and encouraging. Very much appreciated! Great race and well done all."
