Inverness Half Runners

Looking For A Springtime Goal?

Head to the Highlands for a fantastic springtime Half...

Inverness Half Marathon is an early season race with great PB potential, following a flat and scenic route through the historic Highland capital of Inverness alongside the picturesque River Ness.

Taking place on 12 March, the popular Highland event also boasts a 5K race, which sticks to the banks of the River Ness, and is a perfect event for both ‘resolution’ and experienced runners of all ages. Whichever distance appeals to you, with a March date it is the perfect motivation to keep training through the long, dark months of winter.

2022's event sold out with a record entry of 3400, the largest field in the 37-year history of the race. This will have been in many ways due to the course which is certainly worthy of comment, but so too is the warm Highland welcome that awaits all runners as they approach the finish line! This is a race that ticks all the boxes!

A previous participant enthused: "This event has to be one of my all time favourites. The atmosphere is amazing, the organisation is second to none and I love the route... Top marks from me."

It was announced recently that the race has been selected to host the Scottish Half Marathon Championships for 2023 so you can expect the field to be full of top-class runners all looking for a shot at the title.
