Runners in the Kinver Edge DirtRun

Kinver Edge DirtRun returns for summer 2021

Off-road race rescheduled due to the pandemic

For lovers of off-road running, a summer evening race on tracks and trails in dry, sunny weather sounds too good to resist. Give in to temptation this July and tackle the Kinver Edge Summer DirtRun from Pulse Pursuits and hope the British weather behaves itself!

This event was to have taken place in November 2020 but the global pandemic meant a change of plan and a new date of Wednesday 14 July 2021. There is a choice of two distances - 10K and 5K, both of which start at 7pm and runners complete two laps or one lap around Kinver Edge and are then rewarded with a medal plus post-race goodies. There are prizes for the top five men and women in the 10K and the top three in the 5K if anyone is feeling competitive.

Kinver Edge and the Rock Houses are owned by the National Trust and is a popular attraction, consisting of a sandstone escarpment and hill fort that overlooks dwellings carved out of sandstone rock. The area contains heathland and woodland and is home to a variety of wildlife and from the top, provides views of the Malvern and Shropshire Hills, Clent Hill and Whenlock Edge.

In the interests of the environment, Pulse Pursuits are not providing cups and there will be a water station with a container which runners use to fill their own bottles or equivalent.

Places are limited. For more information and entry, visit the Pulse Pursuits website.
