Looking for a great day out with family? One where you can get in a cheeky run at the same time? Then head to Southport on 4 September for its Seaside 10K. This fun-filled event will not only provide you with an excuse for a trip to the coast, it throws a fairground in for good measure too!

New for 2022, the race will start at the town's Pleasureland on the seafront before running around Marine Lake and then back through Pleasureland ready for the second lap. Organisers have commented: "We are delighted with the addition of the race passing through the new refurbished Pleasureland to add to the fun of this year's race!

"The race is two laps around Marine Lake and Ocean Plaza, taking in the model railway, Silcock's Fun Land, Pleasureland and the pier. With only 75ft of elevation, and closed roads along Marine Drive, it promises to be a fast and fun course."

Now for the bit your kids will be interested in… Entry to the race will include access to Pleasureland for up to four people. You also have the opportunity to purchase rider wristbands for Pleasureland at 50% discount on regular prices. With the upgraded fairground now sporting a brand new ferris wheel and viking crazy golf amongst other great attractions, this is a fantastic opportunity for a fun day out with family or friends as well as enjoying the 10K race.

Organisers have also secured a deal with Bliss Hotel in Southport for anyone looking to make a weekend of it!
