The Amazing Northampton Run is changing hands, with experienced race organiser Goldline Events taking ownership of the popular town centre event ahead of its 2027 edition.
Goldline already delivers the Robin Hood Half Marathon and Green Park Reading Half Marathon, bringing considerable experience of major road races to Northampton.
The acquisition marks a new chapter for an event developed by Simon Hollis and his team, who have established The Amazing Northampton Run as a fixture in the town's sporting calendar.
Since moving to a town centre format, the event has grown to attract thousands of runners and supporters, with a route showcasing Northampton's landmarks, parks and sporting venues.
The race currently offers a Half Marathon, three-person Half Marathon Relay and 3 Mile Fun Run, giving runners of different abilities the opportunity to take part.
Goldline Race Director Judith Manson praised the foundations established by the existing team and emphasised the importance of maintaining the event's local identity.
"Our aim is to take those strong foundations and build on them, creating an even bigger and better experience for runners, spectators, volunteers, charities and the wider community," she said.
Simon Hollis welcomed the acquisition, describing Goldline as a good fit for the next stage of the event.
The new organisers will now begin preparations for 2027, with details of entries, charity partnerships and the event experience to follow.
For Northampton runners, the message is one of continuity with the prospect of further development under an experienced national organiser.
