Flying Fox 10 is organised by Stone Master Marathoners and is an established fixture in the North Staffs Road Runners Association programme.
Starting and finishing in the Staffordshire village of Standon, the 10 mile course follows quiet country lanes through rolling countryside around Chapel Chorlton and Maer. The undulating route includes several climbs and descents, making it a more testing proposition than a flat road race while still attracting runners across a wide range of abilities.
The race has a strong club running tradition and regularly attracts NSRRA competitors alongside first timers and recreational runners. Its popularity has resulted in previous editions selling out.
Race headquarters are at All Saints First School in Standon, with parking available nearby. Finishers receive a bespoke gift and other goodies, with prizes for leading runners.
