Roon The Toon 10K 2026

Popular Ayrshire 10K Returns To Kilmarnock Streets

Fast Scottish 10K returns...

Roon The Toon returns to Kilmarnock on Sunday 7 June 2026 with thousands of runners expected to take on one of Scotland’s most popular community 10K races. Starting and finishing at the Ayrshire Athletics Arena, the event combines town centre streets, local support and a fast course around Kilmarnock.

The route is known for being relatively flat and quick, making it attractive for runners chasing a strong 10K time while still offering a lively atmosphere throughout the course. Entertainment and crowd support around the town help create a big event feel, with the race continuing to grow in popularity each year.

Alongside the main 10K, organisers also stage wheelchair and frame running races plus the Stroller Roll event, helping make the day accessible to a wider range of participants. Finishers receive a medal, event t shirt, goody bag and the well known Roon The Toon Empire Biscuit, while a free Kilmarnock FC ticket is also included for finishers subject to conditions.

The 2026 race will also host the Scottish Athletics West District 10K Road and Wheelchair Championships. Entries are currently operating through a waiting list after the initial allocation of 2,400 places was reached, underlining the event’s growing reputation on the Scottish running calendar.
