Dark Run

Run On The Dark Side

Popular Dark Run events are back this October and you won’t want to miss out...

If anyone is looking for a shiny, happy event with a big heart then look no further than the Telford Dark Run 5K on 26 October. Youngsters, adults, families and friends can take part in this fun event that always gets a glowing reference and raises funds for Hope House Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospices.

The Telford Dark Run 5K is one of four night time events across North Wales and Shropshire from Hope House Children’s Hospices. Conwy will also take place on 26 October and the other two - Penrhyn Castle and Chirk Castle are scheduled for 19 October.

Organisers say: "The beautiful Penrhyn Castle has joined RSPB Conwy, Chirk Castle and Telford Town Park to light up the autumn evenings and raise funds to help us support seriously ill local children and their families.

"Dark Runs are a family-friendly run, walk, push or even dance along the beautiful coastline and especially lit-up park and castle views as darkness falls."

All events include a Clubbercise warm up which will get you ready to roll with glow sticks in hand as you run, jog or walk the course. Using established and accessible routes, Dark Runs see hundreds of people don fancy dress and glow sticks to light up the night and enjoy the party atmosphere – with every participant getting a special goody bag and medal.
