Dusk2Dawn Challenge To Light Up Stornoway
This will be a night to push your limits, light up the darkness and make a difference for families affected by cystic fibrosis...
A brand-new night-time adventure is heading for Stornoway this summer, as the Dusk2Dawn Challenge invites runners to embrace the darkness on 25 July in support of The Leanne Fund. Starting at Stornoway Harbour, this event promises a unique Western Isles experience - all while raising vital funds for families affected by cystic fibrosis across Scotland.
Marking the charity’s 15th anniversary, the event offers participants a choice of 15K, 30K or 45K distances, with the focus firmly on completing the challenge rather than racing the clock. Whether you choose to walk or run, it’s about determination, resilience and joining a cause that truly matters.
There’s also a fun creative twist to the night: every participant is encouraged to turn their hi-vis vest into a statement piece. Glow-in-the-dark paint, glitter, stickers or even fairy lights - anything goes, as long as it brightens the night and shows off your fundraising flair.
And it’s not just about crossing the finish line - there are prizes for the top individual and team fundraisers too, so rally your running friends and help The Leanne Fund smash its targets in 2025. They’re asking each participant to aim for £50 or more in fundraising to help extend that vital support even further.
Organisers say: "The Leanne Fund has spent 15 years providing emotional support, essential services and moments of happiness for those living with cystic fibrosis. Entries for our new event close on 20 April and once the deadline passes, it’s lights out!"
