Bolly 3 Peaks

Bolly's Back

This fell race promises a post race pint and chilli, who could say no to that?

Back for its 13th outing, the Bollington 3 Peaks Fell Race will return on 14 September. And it's a great option for you beer-loving runners as it has long been known for being the only fell race in the country that starts and finishes at a brewery.

Those taking part will cover 6 miles and 360 metres of hill in and around, up and down the hills and valleys of Bollington. Organisers told us: "Back again in September we have our ever popular Fell Race, this year we have a change of venue and time. At the end of April Bollington Brewing Co. moved to their new home at Brook Mill in Macclesfield which has meant that the Fell Race has to find a new home.

"We are lucky in Bollington to have many great venues and particularly our new Fell Race's headquarters at Bollington Arts Centre. The Arts Centre is very close to the old brewery, in fact it’s directly behind on the hill. The only other difference is the race start time which will now be midday."

So, a couple of changes to proceedings for 2024 but despite not being in the brewery itself, there will still be all the features of the old race, a pint to quench your thirst at the end, chilli and rice to warm you up and a bar and music to keep you entertained.

The fee of £12 includes entry to the race, a free pint, and a tasty helping of chilli. Profits from the race this year will all go to Buxton Mountain Rescue, Bollington Festival and Bollington Arts Centre.
