Rainbow Rush

The Colourful Run

Birmingham’s most colourful fun run returns to Cofton Park this September...

Birmingham’s Rainbow Rush is back for 2025, promising another vibrant explosion of colour, music and fun at the city's Cofton Park on 20 September. Whether you’re up for 2.5K or the full 5K, this fun run isn’t about chasing PBs, but is is all about getting active while being showered in colour and supporting a fantastic local cause.

Organised in aid of Birmingham Hospice, the Rainbow Rush will transform Cofton Park into a kaleidoscope of colour with paint stations, foam tunnels, dance zones, music, inflatables and more. The new for 2025 2.5K route is perfect for younger participants or those looking to take things a little easier, while the original 5K version offers those taking part even more chances to get covered in colour.

The event village opens from 9.30am, giving runners plenty of time to enjoy live music, food stalls, face painting and photo ops before the mass warm-up at 11am. The run kicks off with a crowd-wide colour throw, setting the tone for a day of high-energy fun. Participants will work their way through paint clouds and foam, finishing with a medal and celebration zone at the finish line.

All proceeds go to Birmingham Hospice, which provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care for local people living with a terminal illness. Every entry helps fund compassionate care and support for families across the region.
