Bewl Water Summer 2026

Scenic Bewl Water Trails Return This Summer

Lakeside trails and long distances...

The Bewl Water Summer race returns on Saturday 13 June 2026 with runners once again taking on scenic trails around one of the South East’s best known outdoor locations. Organised by Hermes Running, the event features a 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon and 50K Ultra around Bewl Water near Lamberhurst on the Kent and East Sussex border.

Starting beside the Bewl Water Visitor Centre, the routes follow a mixture of woodland trails, quiet country lanes and lakeside paths with views across the reservoir for much of the course. The terrain is mostly undulating rather than highly technical, offering a challenging but accessible race experience for runners across all four distances.

The event has built a strong reputation among trail runners thanks to its relaxed atmosphere, generous cut off times and scenic setting in the Kent and Sussex countryside. Previous editions have also been praised for strong organisation, well stocked aid stations and supportive marshals throughout the route.

The Marathon and Ultra distances are particularly popular with runners looking for an early summer endurance challenge, while the 10K and Half Marathon continue to attract newer trail runners and those preparing for longer races later in the year. All finishers receive a bespoke medal, with chip timing and fully marked routes included across the event.

Entries are now open for all June 2026 distances, with organisers expecting another busy turnout for the popular Bewl Water Summer event.

You can still enter the event here now.
