If you go down to the woods this summer you will find a brand new event as the Bearwood Blast 10K and 5K Trail Runs is all set for its inaugural outing on Tuesday, 12 August. Taking place at Bearwood Farm, Pembridge, organisers promise fast and fun off-road racing in the heart of the glorious Herefordshire countryside.

The Bearwood Blast offers something for everyone. Runners can choose between a speedy single-lap 5K or a more challenging two-lap 10K, both featuring undulating terrain, farm tracks, grassy verges and scenic woodland trails.

Organisers comment: "Expect breathtaking views stretching towards Hergest Ridge and Clee Hill as you navigate the 3-metre-wide paths that loop through fields and forests.

"Our event is designed for both trail newcomers and seasoned off-road enthusiasts. Whether you're looking for a relaxed, low-key race or an opportunity to chase a new personal best, the fast and runnable course delivers."

Brought to you by Wye Valley Runners, the club behind events like the Muddy Woody 6 and the Crocodile 8, the Bearwood Blast is set to become a must-do race on the local running calendar.
