Great Birmingham Run

Lace Up For Birmingham

Fewer than 100 places left for Birmingham's biggest half marathon event...

The countdown is on for what’s shaping up to be the biggest Great Birmingham Run weekend in over a decade, and the final places are vanishing fast. With less than 100 entries left for the Half Marathon, and 10K spots selling out at pace, time is running out if you want to be part of one of the Midlands’ most iconic race weekends.

This year’s event promises to be a record-breaker, as more than 15,000 runners are set to hit the streets across both the 10K and Half Marathon distances. From club runners chasing personal bests to first-timers and charity fundraisers, the Great Birmingham Run is the heartbeat of the city’s running scene - and the atmosphere promises to be electric.

The weekend kicks off on Super Saturday (3 May) at the Alexandra Stadium, where 600 young runners will take part in the Junior and Mini events, with an extra shot of excitement as TV’s Gladiators are confirmed as official starters. Meanwhile, the city centre will see runners limbering up with a special shakeout run led by Roc Up - the perfect warm-up ahead of race day.

On Sunday 4 May, Birmingham’s streets will once again transform into a sea of cheering spectators and determined runners, as thousands take on the challenge, push for PBs and raise funds for good causes. Last year’s event saw over £1 million raised for charities, and 2025 is set to take the total even higher.

It’s more than just a race - it’s a city-wide celebration of determination, community and unforgettable finish line moments. If you want to be part of the action, this is your final call to secure a place before the event sells out.
