Going for broke at the Mallory Park 5K Festival

Ready for a fast 10K at Mallory Park?

This festival includes the County Road Race Championships.

The lightning quick course at Mallory Park will be lapped up again by runners at a 10K Festival on Sunday 12 December. More than a few runners will receive an early Christmas present in the form of a PB at these multiple 10K races from Race Rapid Mallory.

There was an excellent turnout for the 5K Festival (31 October) and the organisers are looking to repeat that at their 10K Festival which returns to Mallory Park in December. Here is the chance to go for glory on a smooth racing circuit made for speed and achieve your goal along the way.

Mallory Park hosted the Leicestershire & Rutland County AA 5K Championships as part of October’s 5K Festival and is doing so again with the 10K Road Championships. Expect some hard fought contests on the day.

As before: runners are seeded into races based upon their predicted finishing time and allocated to one of seven, 10K races. Each race will contain 10 waves of 6 runners who complete six chip timed laps of the circuit, starting near Gerrards Bend and finishing in the paddock area. The circuit will be marked every kilometre, keeping people on track and enabling them to focus on their performance with the podium and/or a PB in their sights.

Then relax after a hard day’s racing with hot food and drinks in the Lakeside Cafe.
