Stride Out On Shortest Day
Sign up for a stride on the shortest day of the year...
Make plans for this year's winter solstice by pulling on your running shoes and taking part in the Winter Solstice Strider 2024 - a 10K or 5K head torch evening run through the St Ives Estate in Bingley on the shortest day of the year (21 December), to raise vital funds for Sue Ryder.
The run starts at STRI, the Bingley-based global design, engineering and management consultancy and then winds through the woods and, fittingly, past Druids Alter within the St. Ives Estate at Bingley.
Every participant will be chip-timed but whether you choose to run, jog or saunter, everyone will receive a unique bespoke Solstice Saunter medal.
For those who can't attend in person there will also be a virtual option where participants can choose to run 5K or 10K at a location of their own choice on the shortest day of the year. For doing so, they will receive their medal in advance of the day.
However you take part, the vital funds raised will help to support Sue Ryder's expert, compassionate care and fill someone's last days with love. With your support, the charity can be there when it matters for families going through the toughest times of their lives.
