Yorkshire Marathon launches brilliant competition for you and a friend...
In partnership with Erdinger Alkoholfrei, Yorkshire Marathon, has launched a great competition offering two free entries (for a pair of friends) into next year’s Yorkshire Marathon, taking place on Sunday 16 October.
As we head into the dark, cold winter months, Yorkshire Marathon want to give you and a mate an extra running boost, so this December it’s time to #MotivateAMate. They are looking for pairs of friends who will share their marathon training journey and how you keep each other motivated along the way.
The winners will receive two VIP entries into the 2022 Yorkshire Marathon including event day hospitality, training t-shirts and free entry into a marathon training day in July. Winners will also recieve complimentary entry into a Run For All event of choice in 2022 and a free Erdinger training kit and an engraved commemorative glass.
Annette and Sally, last year’s winners said: “We were so lucky to win the #MotivateaMate competition for the 2021 Yorkshire Marathon (our first ever marathon). It made our whole experience so special and helped us to achieve things we never thought we could.
"Our highlights include the fabulous goodies from Erdinger and High 5, the VIP race day entries, being interviewed on BBC Radio York, the fantastic support we received from the Run For All team, and the new friends we made along the way, it all really helped us through our long months of training.”
Anette and Sally added: “It was amazing for us to share the whole experience, both the training and actually running the marathon together, helping each other through it and crossing the finish line together hand in hand. We really enjoyed sharing our experiences on our blog and hopefully we might have inspired other people to have a go."
To be in with a chance to win, applicants must have active social media channels and be willing to share and allow Yorkshire Marathon to share their journey all the way from day one of training to post event.
